Stormwater soakage

Our investigations in the stormwater soakage areas are now complete. We found that there are very few places where stormwater is getting into the existing wastewater system.

Clear Harbour Alliance was asked to raise any low gully traps that have been identified in this area at no cost to the property owner.  Low gully traps enable stormwater to get into the wastewater system.  This work has now been undertaken on all identified properties. 

Auckland City Council has been contacting all property owners with any other identified non-compliance issues in their drainage which may be allowing stormwater into the wastewater system.  Property owners will be required to rectify these at their own cost.
